Thanks for the video, Jim. It gave me incentive/courage to do the same to my grubby Smythe & Sons banana bag. First, I cleaned the bag (including a lot of tiny grease spots thrown up from the cassette cogs) with a soapy mix. Then rinsed very well and let it dry for a couple of days. I followed your lead and picked up some Filson wax and had a go at it. Wow, what a difference! It looks like a new bag.

I just had to change a flat in the rain on today’s ride, and laid a nice greasy thumbprint on that Keven’s bag. Most of it wiped pretty easily away.
